About the Book
There's a moment before every big thing — before you book the ticket, before you quit the job, before you walk into the hostel alone for the first time. A moment when everything in you says wait.
This book is about doing whatever I was afraid of doing, I've been told: 'Do what scares you, see what happens, can't be that bad, and if it is, you`ll handle it'.
It's a memoir of solo travel, sports, fear, freedom, and the strange alchemy of building a life, an identity, discovering the world, the food, the history. It's my personal story - since I really started to live myself.
Across many chapters and 20 countries, Count to 5 and Go traces my beginning when I left my hometown, started a new life in Transylvania and then went for a year of solo travel through Southeast Asia and Europe. You'll discover it arrives somewhere unexpected: a version of myself I could only have found by travelling.
"I didn't travel to find myself. I travelled to discover the world."
Anyone who has thought about travelling solo and hasn't. Anyone who is already doing it and wants to feel less alone in it or inspired, or amused! Women who were told the world was too dangerous for them. People who have a life that looks fine from the outside but feels like someone else's.

Inside the Book
Not the curated ones. The ones where the plan fell apart, the hostel that looked shady, but turned out to be the best night of the trip.
The psychological side of solo travel — anxiety, freedom, loneliness, and the strange confidence that builds when you keep going.
What solo travel looks like from the inside — not the Instagram version. The texture of days that are ordinary, strange, and alive all at once.
